The
CodePlex Team just announced that on June 18th they will release an open source project on
CodePlex that will allow users to
use TortiseSVN to connect to the CodePlex source repositories. I think this will close the
Support for Subversion work item that has had the most votes for some time now.
CodePlex is not actually moving to
Subversion or offering
Subversion as an alternative, instead, this is more like a bridge between
TortiseSVN and
TFS. This bridge will emulate a
Subversion server and convert the request into calls to
Team Foundation Server. If I am not mistaken, this also means you should be able to use
svn.exe to make the requests as well.
